Overview of the online planning process
Here are the steps to create an online conservation plan:
1.
Create an account
Enter your name, email address, and a password to create an account. This
allows you to save your work at any time, and return to the same place on
your next visit to the site. Our Privacy
Statement.
2.
Describe your farm
Start by locating your farm from a state map, then enter a few details about
each field. This web site will automatically retrieve some geographic
information about your fields once you have identified them on the map.
3.
Select new conservation practices to consider in your plan
Review the recommended conservation measures, and select the ones you would
consider implementing. If you are already doing any of the recommendations,
indicate that and get credit toward your payment.
Examples of conservation practices
When you send this to your local Conservation District, they will consider it a preliminary plan. You are in no way obligated to implement the practices unless you go on to complete the certification process and apply for funds. A local planner can help you do this.
