Create a conservation plan to apply for funds from the 2002 Farm Bill and other sources.
Here's how:
1.
Learn about the funding options. (Summary)
There are many cost-share and funding programs available to landowners and
agricultural producers. Most require some kind of conservation plan. This
site will help you get started.
2.
Create an online conservation plan. (Overview)
Use this web site to create a preliminary plan that helps you qualify for
conservation-related payments. Your preliminary plan is in no way
obligating. To begin the process, login to your existing account if you have one, or create a new account.
3.
Submit your preliminary plan & application to your local Conservation District.
Fill out an application and send it, along with your preliminary plan,
directly to your local Conservation District. Submitting only means you are
expressing interest. There is no obligation to implement your preliminary
plan. A Conservation District representative will contact you to help
finalize your plan and qualify for funding.
